It’s a tale as old as time - two closeted frat stars fall in love while both serving on their college’s Interfraternity Council…
Ok, so maybe not your typical meet-cute, but there’s only so many ways William & Mary can bring people together. While they met on W&M’s campus at the end of 2014, it wasn’t until they returned from an eventful council trip in February 2015 that a persistent Paul finally made the first move after a party at Will’s fraternity house. After unsuccessfully attempting to keep their relationship a secret from other council members, fraternity brothers, and even W&M administrators, they officially hard launched their relationship that summer.
Through one graduation, a year of long distance, another graduation, two apartments, two cats, and one house later, Paul proposed to Will on June 5, 2021. After successfully tricking him into a manicure, getting his favorite breakfast (shoutout to Call Your Mother Deli), convincing him to go to a winery 80 minutes away, and not murdering him when he spilled Chick-fil-a sauce on his shorts on the drive, Paul got down on one knee at the top of the vineyard and asked Will to spend the rest of his life with him. After some time to recover and enjoy the moment, Paul once again almost gave Will a heart attack when they were joined by 25 of their closest friends and family members to continue the celebration.
9 months later (if this were a straight couple you’d be pretty nervous right now), Will managed to surprise Paul with a proposal of his own, just to really seal the deal. Knowing that Will usually tries to avoid public attention, Paul didn’t suspect a thing when Will convinced him to take his skis off in the middle of a run at Breckenridge, Colorado, so he could get down on one knee to ask the question.
With two proposals down, Will & Paul are so excited to continue making lifelong memories as they enter this next chapter of their lives together. Whether it’s traveling abroad, visiting family and friends across the States, spending too much money on their favorite DC restaurants, or just watching Survivor on the couch with their kitties, their time together is always filled with love, laughter, and joy. They look forward to celebrating this next chapter in their lives with their family and friends on July 15, 2023 on beautiful Lake Sebago!

- Are kids invited?
Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ and family's kids, we will not be able to accommodate kids at our wedding venue. Smart casual for the welcome reception on Friday evening, and creative black tie / black tie optional for the wedding on Saturday - we'd love to see lots of color all weekend long!
REGISTRY
We are eternally grateful for your constant love, support, and celebration of us as we enter this new and exciting chapter in our our lives, and we consider those the best gifts we could ever receive.
If you feel so compelled, we have set up registries at Zola and West Elm. We are very lucky to be in a place where material goods aren't as important to us, and we are focused on investing in our future together instead. We hope you’ll consider contributing to one of our newlywed funds to help us meet some of our personal goals… and maybe add some stops on our honeymoon 😉
